Early Season Report

Well here we are about six or so races into the season. So far attendance has been pretty low. We've been getting four racers every week at Odie Mtn Speedway but only three a week at Bussy Nace Memorial Speedway. Unfortunately when drivers don't run at both tracks it narrows the season points battle down to two people. It would be nice to be in a heated points battle with two or three other racers but like last year it's gonna come down to Tom and Kelly. Chris would be in the battle but he had missed an early race due to another commitment. Dan has yet to run but has some absentee points, he should be racing soon. Haven't seen Eddie for reasons which we know. Hopefully he'll be back soon. We only see John every other week which unfortunately hurts his points title chances as he misses half the races. In the future we are hoping to get at least five full time racers so we have good competition throughout the year and not just biweekly.

There has been early domination at Bussy Nace Memorial Speedway by Kelly and over at The Ode it's usually been a battle for the win between John and Tom. Although this past weekend Kelly managed to pull out a feature win in sprints and also got some much needed second place finishes. Chris has struggled at The Buss but had some good runs this past weekend over at The Ode.

This week Tom extended the life of our website for another year. He also redesigned the logo and added two banner ads. One for Dirt Wirx Dirt Oval Bodies and the other for Bryner's Slot Cars. I am working on a website for Bryner's Slot Cars where everything will be sold. I will also continue to bring the parts display to The Ode when we are there. See everyone on Sunday!!!!

Season Opener

Well the season opening race for PSAR is this coming Sunday, August 30th. Be great to get back racing again. Should have a good crowd each week. We lost Kevin to (I'm young and don't understand life yet) syndrome, but we've gained Eddie and Tom's friend Dan. I believe Chris is coming back as well so along with them, myself, Tom and John we should have 4 to 7 guys on any given race day. Good enough for me. Hopefully Matt from Lewistown will be able to join us once in a while as well. See everyone this Sunday as the Champ looks to defend his title.......that's me!!!!!!!!!!!

Karen Swartz Charity Event

This past Sunday, August 16th, we held our first Karen Swartz Cancer Charity Event. What a great day of racing, food and fun. We had 18 racers from all over Pa come and participate. Even had six rookies decide to race. In the end we raised almost $800 which we presented to Karen at the day's end. A special thanks goes out to all who supported the event and all those who attended. A big thanks to SCX, Professor Motor, Home Racing World, BRS Hobbies, Cool Trains Hobbies, RMS Resins, Bryner's Slot cars and Tomcat Dirt Bodies. If I missed anyone, I apologize. August 30th is our PSAR season opener at Odie Mountain Speedway. See everyone there.

Summer Update Part 2

Well here we are almost at the beginning of August already. Only one month till the new season begins and little more than two weeks till our big Cancer Charity Event at Odie Mountain Speedway. This are looking good for a great field of racers not only for the Charity Race but for our upcoming season. Looks like we'll have some new folks joining us for the racing season. Unfortunately for me I won't have the cast off of my leg until after our season opening race on August 30th. Oh well, I can get out and about now so it's no big deal. The shop is again open on a daily basis so if you have any Parma, Pro Track, Sprints Plus or JK Products parts needs send me an email to kbsauctions@gmail.com or call 717-319-8343.

Summer Update

Well the summer is rolling along and there is a little less than two months till our season opening race here at PSAR. Can't wait for that, the off season is too long. Tom has his new garage up and our new place for racing there and of course I have the hobby shop with my track in it. We'll have many more racers this coming year and looks like we'll be running a multi-club sprint car series with another PA club. So all is well. Unfortunately this past weekend I was in a mountain biking accident and broke my left leg. Not fun and alot of pain but I'll be fine. May still be a bit gimpy come the season opener but I'll be there to defend my championship crown of 2008. Well, that's a short update on what's happening. Later on............

Great News All Around for PSAR

Well it's been awhile since the last post on here. Alot has happened. We had our fantastic season finale which was a blast. Alot of special races, prizes and food. Well it's finally happened, I have a retail storefront for my slot car business. Finally, just opened today for business. If you are reading this come check it out at 22 4th street suite B2 Mifflintown, PA 17059. I currently have 1/32 parts, supplies and bodies as well as two tracks. I'm also a registered ebay drop off location. So it's a combo deal ebay dropoff/slotcar haven. Excellent, I'm so excited about the future. And now Tom finally got his old garage torn down (with help from myself and Eddie) and should have the new slot car mancave in place in about a week. That will be nice as well. So we'll have two 1/32 scale tracks in the club along with an HO drag strip, an HO road course and an HO bullring oval. Good time to be a part of Pa Scale Auto Racing and Bryner's Slot Cars. Well for someone, you know who you are, RACE ON!!!!! LOL

3/29 Season finale at "The Buss"

Well today was the season finale at "Bussy Nace Memorial Speedway" and it was a great day. We had five drivers as Tim, Eddie, Kevin, Tom and Kelly made it. Some great racing today with Tim and Eddie having some good runs. Kelly took the Late Model, Limited Late Model, Modified and Sprint A-mains with Tom taking the Limited Sprints and Sportsman Modifieds. Glad to have Eddie and Tim make it over and really make it a fun day. The "Bussy Nace Memorial Speedway" track championship plaque was handed out to Kelly for his fine season at "The Buss". Two weeks, April 19, will be our season finale at "Odie Mtn Speedway". We will start early and be having a cookout with lots of food and snacks to go along with some great racing. We'll be handing out plaques and awards to the top points performers and may have a special race with prizes sponsored by Bryner's Slot Cars. See everyone in two weeks. Check out www.pascaleautoracing.com for the full results and all the action photos.

3/22 Results & 4/19 Season Finale

Well folks today was an awesome day of racing as two new members came to race with us. Tim Kline and Eddie Banks came down from up around Nescopeck to compete with us. They couldn't stay the entire day but we hope they'll be back for a few more races before the season is out and be back for next season. Kelly managed to take Limited Late Models and Modifieds with Tom taking the remaining divisions and dethroning John in the Limited Sprints. Great day of racing with alot of action. John managed to find the floor at least three times. Should be some great photos up on the webpage by tomorrow night. Check www.pascaleautoracing.com for the full results and pics. Now, the season finale has been moved to 4/19 instead of 4/5. We will run next week's race at Bussy Nace Memorial Speedway then take two weeks off before our big finale which will include prizes, food and special races. Good times ahead for the club. We've added a small HO oval and there is an HO drag strip on the way to join our two wood ovals and our rally track. Things are looking good for the club!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Till next week......

3/15 Results

Well after a two week hiatus due to major illnesses, we were back at it today at Bussy Nace Memorial Speedway. Only three racers showed up but it was another hassle free, fun day of racing. And some very close racing indeed. Kelly managed to take Late Models, Sportsman Mods, Mods, and Sprints leaving Tom with Limited Late Models and Limited Sprints. Kevin was trying to get back into the swing of things after a few weeks out and managed only thirds on the night. We did have a three way tie in the Limited Lated Models which I believe is a first. We all ended up with 70 laps. Pics to come and full results will be posted by tomorrow evening at www.pascaleautoracing.com so check it out. And don't forget to check out our online store. More items coming this week. Till next week. RACE ON! LOL

3/1 Race

Well our 3/1 raceday had to be canceled due to a couple illnesses. We decided it best to put off getting together and making anyone else sicker or sicker than they already are. We'll be back in action next week at The Od so be sure to check next week for results and a rundown on the days action. Hopefully this blog doesn't offend anyone. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2/22 Results

Well Sunday was another fine day of racing at Odie Mountain Speedway. John continues to signs of future domination with his runs. Tom pulled out four of six A-mains leaving limited late models and modifieds for Kelly. Kevin was shut out yet again and continues his temporary role as the "Kershaw" of the club. He'll bounce back, he's good enough not to continue to struggle. We had some exciting crashes during the day as Tom managed to leave the track three different times, once hitting the camera man. Kevin left the track once and ended up stuck between Tom's legs. What a lonely feeling for that poor car. LOL!!!!! Check out the website, www.pascaleautoracing.com for all the results and pics or go to our message board and check things out at www.pascaleautoracing.yuku.com. And don't forget to browse our NEW online store for parts and accessories. More will be added soon at www.shop.pascaleautoracing.com. See everyone next week back at "The Bus".

2/15 Results

Well today was another interesting day of racing at Bussy Nace Memorial Speedway. We only had three racers as John was unable to make it. Alot of fun racing, and yet again, no complaining or whining. NICE! The day ended with Kelly taking Late Models, Limited Late Models, Modifieds and Sprints with Tom pulling out wins in the inaugural Sportsman Modified race as well as limited sprints. I like the new format with only six classes now. Plenty of time to relax and BS between the races. Also enough time for a longer intermission. Alot of fun. See you all next week back at Odie Mountain Speedway.

2/8 Results

Hello all. Sorry the results were temporarily pulled down to remove some unwanted negative comments by a disgruntled former clubber. Anyhow here is a rundown of Sunday's action at Odie Mountain Speedway. It was a great day as four members showed up to have a good time. Kelly ended up winning the late model and outlaw sprint A-mains, John picked up wins in the limited sprint and modified A-mains and Tom picked up wins in limited late models, sprints, big block modifieds and CoT's. Kevin was shut out for the first time in a while but I'm sure he'll get back into the swing of things this coming weekend. This was by far the most enjoyable day of racing I think we've ever had, everyone had a blast and we got done, when we got done. Check out www.pascaleautoracing.com for full results, pics and updated points. It's coming down to the wire with the points looking like this, 1. Kelly, 2. Tom, 3. Kevin, 4. John and 5. Mike, Chris S and Chris K all tied for last. Should be interesting. See everyone back at "The Bus" on Sunday.

Mourning the loss of a member! LOL

Just kidding but I do want to make note that one of our members has decided to hang it up due to not being able to have fun without crying. He shall go nameless at this time but we all know who it is. Well, we've changed days and times and I look forward to alot of fun racing without rushing or worrying about being done by 6pm. Never again. Let's have some fun on race day and RACE ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1/18 Results

Another fun day of racing at "Bussy Nace Memorial Speedway" has come and gone. Only had three racers as one was not allowed to come out and play by his girl. But racing goes on. Kelly had another great day taking six of the eight A-main events while Kevin pulled out victories in the COTs and Limited Sprints. Tom was shut out for the first time in quite a while. Next week it's back to Odie Mountain Speedway for more big track racing. And the following week, 2/1 we will be back at "The Bus" for a special day of racing followed by a Pittsburgh Steelers Super Bowl party!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pic of the week should be posted later. For full results and pics visit www.pascaleautoracing.com.

1/11 Results Error Correction

I mistakenly recognized John as the Limited Sprints winner from last weeks racing at Odie Mountain Speedway. Instead, the winner should have been Tom with John taking the Outlaw Sprints. So to clarify, in our fastest of the Sprint Car divisions, John whooped up on Tom and in the pokey slow Limited Sprints Tom pulled out the turtle-like victory. Thanks for your time.

1/11 Results

Hello all. Here are the results for Sunday January 11th at Odie Mountain Speedway. Only three racers showed up (me not being one) for Sunday's action. Kevin was also absent. With only three racers the heat were bypassed and only feature events were run. Tom had a good night (with me, the king, not there) winning 5 A-mains. John also had a pretty decent night taking home late model and limited sprint A-mains while also posting 3 second place finishes. Chris took home the street stock A-main and managed 2 second place runs. Limited pictures for this event but I'll see if I can pull out a pic "o" the week. Check out www.pascaleautoracing.com for full results. Next week all should be back to normal barring any snow. See everyone at Bussy Nace Memorial Speedway next Sunday. Doors open at 1pm, racing at 2pm and doors close promptly at 6:30pm (Steelers game win time). Ho ho ho, off to the Super Bowl we go. Later all....

1/4 Results

Another fine day of racing has come and gone at Bussy Nace Memorial Speedway. Sunday's action saw a somewhat new face and a face that was missing. John made his first trip to "The Bus" and Kevin was out of action due to a tummy ache. John posted some good finishes in his first trip to the track. Kelly took seven of eight A-main wins but failed to qualify for the inaugural limited sprint race. He had some mechanical difficulties and was forced to pull out of the race. Tom took the other A-main. Chris showed some flashes of brilliance but failed to make some of the races. The winner of the 50 lap double points outlaw A-Main was Kelly. You can see full results at www.pascaleautoracing.com and check out the pics while you are there. Next week its back to Odie Mountain Speedway where racing was canceled last time due to a power outage.

Happy New Year

Happy New Year to everyone out there in the slot car world. Hope the new year is filled with everything you hope. I'm kinda glad to put 2008 behind us as it was the year our family lost someone very important in our lives. So let's hope 2009 is great. Happy New Year...Próspero año nuevo. See you all at "The Bus" for Sunday's 50 lap Outlaw Sprint double points race.
